Alexandra Karr Amin

Alexandra Karr Amin concentrates her practice on a broad range of litigation matters.

While attending Georgetown University Law Center, Alexandra served as a research assistant at The O’Neill Institute for National & Global Health Law. She also worked as a summer legal intern with The Perinatal Legal Assistance and Well-Being (“P-LAW”) Project at the Health Justice Alliance and served as a law student mentor for the Health Justice Alliance Capitol Hill Day Pro Bono Project. In addition, she was a staff editor for the Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law & Policy.

Prior to attending law school, Alexandra completed her dietetic internship at Cornell University and worked as a registered dietitian in a variety of clinical and research settings. She served as a neonatal intensive care unit (“NICU”) dietitian and clinical dietitian at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital, where she provided specialized nutrition care to critically ill newborn, pediatric, and adult patient populations. Alexandra also worked as a consultant dietitian for Northwestern University on a research project involving the development of a wearable health technology device. In addition, she has provided nutrition care to residents and patients in a long-term and post-acute care facility.

Drawing on her experience in both healthcare and law, Alexandra brings a practical, multidisciplinary perspective to complex disputes and regulatory matters.
