Thomas Szymanski Appointed to Rutgers University Alumni Association’s Alumni Leaders Council

Blank Rome Associate Thomas J. Szymanski has been appointed to the Rutgers University Alumni Association’s (“RUAA”) Alumni Leaders Council, an assembly of volunteer alumni leaders who are passionate about the RUAA and Rutgers University.

The RUAA Alumni Leaders Council includes members of the RUAA Board, leaders of the chartered alumni organizations, at-large members, and university partners who share in the RUAA’s vision. The council officially convenes at least once annually, at the Alumni Leaders Conference, where council members gather to share best practices and new ideas in alumni engagement. The council is also responsible for ratifying the slate of RUAA Board officers and board members annually.

Tom graduated from Rutgers University School of Law, Camden in 2011, where he served on the executive board of the Rutgers Journal of Law and Public Policy and was a member of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court. He received the Rutgers University Human Dignity Award and the Rutgers University School of Law Pro Bono Award for his significant service. Tom also graduated from Rutgers University, New Brunswick in 2008, where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society academic honor society.

At Blank Rome, Tom’s labor and employment practice ranges from proactive counseling to litigation in federal and state courts and administrative agencies. His experience includes nationwide and single plaintiff wage-and-hour claims; discrimination, retaliation, and hostile work environment claims; complex restrictive covenant and breach of contract litigation; and employment due diligence counseling for mergers and acquisitions. For the past three years, Tom was named a “Pennsylvania Rising Star” in Employment Litigation by Super Lawyers.
