Rick Antonoff Selected as a Delegate to UNCITRAL’s Insolvency Law Working Group
Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Rick Antonoff, a partner in the Firm’s Bankruptcy & Restructuring group, has been selected by the New York City Bar Association (“NYCBA”) as one of its five representatives to the 53rd session of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law’s (“UNCITRAL”) Insolvency Law Working Group, held May 7-11, 2018, in New York.
UNCITRAL is the core legal body of the United Nations system in the field of international trade law. The agenda for the Insolvency Law Working Group includes: (1) facilitating the cross-border insolvency of enterprise groups, (2) recognition and enforcement of insolvency-related foreign judgments, and (3) insolvency of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises. At Blank Rome, Mr. Antonoff represents banks, investment funds, private equity firms, asset managers, landlords, IP licensors, trade creditors, and other parties in bankruptcy proceedings and out-of-court restructuring. Mr. Antonoff is a member of the Bankruptcy and Corporate Reorganization Committee of the NYCBA, the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association, and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He is a trained and certified bankruptcy mediator.
