Michelle Gervais Appointed Executive Board Member of WISE Tampa Bay Chapter
Blank Rome Partner Michelle Gervais was appointed to serve as an executive board member of the newly formed Women in Sports and Events (“WISE”) Tampa Bay Chapter, a role that she was selected for by its founding partners—the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Lightning, University of South Florida Vinik Sport & Entertainment Management Program, and Tampa Bay Sports Commission.
WISE officially launched its Tampa Bay chapter at a kick-off event held at American Social on Thursday, September 13. The chapter was formed to carry out WISE’s mission of empowering women in the business of sports, in the Tampa Bay area. The chapter places a strong emphasis on education, aiming to deepen its members’ knowledge of the industry by providing mentoring experiences for all career levels, innovative programming, events, and valuable networking opportunities.
In addition to Michelle’s executive board member role, she also serves as WISE Tampa Bay’s secretary and vice president of communications, and is a member of its strategic planning committee. Her substantial involvement in WISE will serve as an opportunity for her to further market and serve the local Tampa and Florida sports community at large, as well as Blank Rome’s expanding Sports Law practice.
