Living Legacies: Blank Rome Adopt-A-Center Program

The Adopt-A-Center program was established in 1999 by Stacy D. Phillips and her colleagues at the Family Law firm of Phillips Lerner, and formally adopted by Blank Rome with the addition of Phillips Lerner’s attorneys to the Firm’s Los Angeles office in 2016. The Adopt-A-Center Program annually selects a Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization that benefits children and families who are in need of outreach and support, and underwrites an event that directly benefits the nonprofit’s constituency. In this way, the Program has supported organizations that provide housing, emergency services, and life skills education for runaway and homeless children; art programs for abused and neglected children; music instruction to elementary schoolchildren in under-funded distracts lacking enrichment classes; comprehensive health care to low-income families; one-on-one mentoring relationships to under-served youth; and conflict prevention/resolution instruction to K-12 youth.
