James S. Carter Elected Fellow of the American College of Coverage Counsel

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that partner James (“Jim”) S. Carter has been elected as a fellow of the American College of Coverage Counsel (“ACCC”), an invitation-only organization dedicated to improving the quality of the practice of insurance law and to increasing civility and professionalism in the field.

With Jim’s election, Blank Rome is now home to 14 ACCC fellows, including Mary Craig Calkins, who is a past president of the ACCC, Lisa M. Campisi, who serves on the Membership Committee, Jason A. Frye, John A. GibbonsJohn E. HeintzRobert P. JacobsLinda KornfeldSeth D. Lamden, who serves on the Board of Regents and Finance Committee, Justin F. LavellaHelen K. Established in 2012, the ACCC’s mission is to advance the creative, ethical, and efficient adjudication of insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes; to enhance the civility and quality of the practice of insurance law; to provide peer-reviewed scholarship; and to improve the relationship between and among the members of the insurance law profession. The ACCC is comprised of experienced and recognized lawyers who have devoted most of their practice to insurance disputes for 15 years or more. The national organization engages in a rigorous vetting process prior to inviting a lawyer to become a fellow, with its members including many of the most prominent members of the insurance law bar.

At Blank Rome, Jim exclusively represents policyholders, working to secure and maximize their insurance claim recoveries. He provides strategic guidance throughout the insurance claims process, from when a claim arises to its resolution, whether through negotiation or litigation. Jim also advises policyholders on optimizing their general liability, cyber, D&O, E&O, and other policies.
