Blank Rome’s Kevin J. Bruno Re-Appointed Co-Chair of ABA’s Environmental Litigation Committee
Blank Rome LLP Partner Kevin J. Bruno has been re-appointed as co-chair of the American Bar Association’s (“ABA”) Environmental Litigation Committee for the 2015-2016 Section of Litigation term. Mr. Bruno previously served as co-chair of the committee for the 2014-2015 term, and for a three-year term from 2008-2011. In his role as co-chair, Mr. Bruno will assist with positioning the committee to respond quickly to the latest environmental issues facing the legal profession, and further the committee’s goal of helping members become better environmental litigators.
ABA’s Environmental Litigation Committee identifies legal issues and topics at the forefront of the practice, and brings together lawyers, judges, consultants, and in-house counsel to teach and inform the members on environmental litigation law. The committee is part of the ABA’s Section of Litigation, which is the largest section of the American Bar Association and dedicated to helping litigators become more effective advocates for their clients. At Blank Rome, Mr. Bruno chairs the Firm’s Environmental, Energy, and Natural Resources practice group. He has more than 25 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, concentrating his practice in environmental, mass tort, products, and insurance recovery litigation. He has served in various leadership positions within the ABA, currently serving a second term as co-chair of the Section of Litigation’s Environmental Litigation Committee as well as being appointed to his fifth term as the ABA Section of Litigation’s liaison to the ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources (“SEER”) Special Committee on Section, Division, and Forum Coordination. In 2014, Mr. Bruno was appointed as treasurer of the Board of the Law Firm Sustainability Network (“LFSN”), a nonprofit organization of law firms and legal departments committed to promoting the benefits of environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility within their firms and throughout the legal industry.
