Blank Rome’s Jared Zola Appointed to the Rutgers Cybersecurity Advisory Board

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Jared Zola, a partner in the Firm’s insurance recovery group, has been selected to join the Rutgers Cybersecurity Advisory Board for a one-year term.

The board is part of the Rutgers Center for Innovation Education, which, taught by top faculty and industry experts, provides professional and continuing education for technologists, innovators, and entrepreneurs. Board membership is comprised of a diverse, innovative, and well-connected network of top-flight executives who have been invited based on personal and professional accomplishments.

In his role, Mr. Zola will help preserve and enhance the reputation of the school as well ensure that the school’s work is relevant and valuable to the business community. He will also offer his widespread experience in cybersecurity and cyberinsurance to faculty and students through various educational programs, including the Rutgers Cybersecurity Certificate Program.

At Blank Rome, Mr. Zola advocates for commercial insurance policyholders in high-stakes, complex litigation and corporate transactions. He represents policyholders against their insurance companies as lead counsel in precedent-setting lawsuits across the nation and at the deal table as insurance counsel on multi-billion dollar mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Zola is often invited to share his thoughts at industry-leading conferences and panels on cutting-edge issues in cybersecurity and cyberinsurance, and recently co-authored with colleagues in Blank Rome’s insurance recovery practice a two-part series on Managing Cyber Risks: Tips for Purchasing Insurance That Works for Your Business in Pratt’s Privacy & Cybersecurity Law Report.
