Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Kathleen J. Udo has joined the firm’s New York office as an associate in the nationally recognized Real Estate practice.
Kathleen is the latest addition to Blank Rome’s growing real estate team, which recently welcomed leading partners Saul Breskal, Christy Reuter, Sonia Kaur Bain, and J.J. Broderick; of counsel Kerri Alessi, Kathryn C. Appling, and Jamie Garelick; and associates Avery Cummings, Kaitlyn West, Christina Preminger, and Matthew Crawford across the firm’s Los Angeles, New York, and Philadelphia offices.
Kathleen joins Blank Rome after serving as a senior advisor for business line compliance at an international investment bank with primary coverage over commercial real estate, securitized products trading, and CLO businesses. She focuses her practice on managing complex, multi-faceted commercial real estate transactions, including regulatory compliance.
Kathleen has notable experience in structuring, negotiating, and advising on all aspects of the real estate life cycle. She has represented developers, investors, and financial institutions in the acquisition, sale, financing, construction, development, and leasing of commercial real estate in the U.S.
Admitted to practice in New York and Maryland, Kathleen received her J.D. and M.S. cum laude from Vermont Law School, and her B.S. summa cum laude from The University of Maine. Kathleen was named a “Rising Star” by D.C. Super Lawyer in 2014, as well as in 2015–2020 by New York Metro Super Lawyer.
