Blank Rome Welcomes New Patent Attorneys Anastasia Dodd and Roland F. Rivera Santiago

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Anastasia Dodd and Roland F. Rivera Santiago have joined the firm as patent attorneys in the Intellectual Property group in the Los Angeles and New York offices, respectively. Their arrival continues the strategic expansion of the group, which recently welcomed patent attorney Ka Chun “Alan” Leung in Washington, D.C., earlier this month.

Anastasia focuses her practice on a variety of intellectual property matters, including patent preparation and prosecution, open-source software licensing and risk analysis, and client counseling. She leverages her technical background and patent experience to safeguard innovations in electrical and software technologies.

Anastasia is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”). She received her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and her B.S. from Rice University. Anastasia returns to Blank Rome after earning her LL.M. with a specialization in Privacy Law and Cybersecurity at the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law.

Roland represents clients across a wide array of industries, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, agriculture, and commerce. His practice encompasses patent prosecution, litigation, trademark and copyright law, and trade secret protection. He has extensive experience managing complex patent portfolios, conducting freedom-to-operate and due diligence analyses, and contributing to high-stakes litigation and expert reports.

Admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, and before the USPTO, Roland received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Pennsylvania, and his B.S., magna cum laude, from Universidad de Puerto Rico. Roland joins Blank Rome from Leason Ellis LLP.
