Blank Rome Welcomes New Patent Attorney Alan Leung in Washington, D.C.

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Ka Chun (“Alan”) Leung has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C., office as patent attorney in the Intellectual Property group. The move reunites Alan with his former colleagues, including Blank Rome partner Hussein Akhavannik, of counsel Mark F. Mashack, and patent attorney Timothy S. Schwarz

Alan focuses his practice on patent prosecution, working closely with clients to develop and manage their patent portfolio. By aligning intellectual property strategies with business goals, Alan helps clients protect and maximize the value of their innovations. His experience spans a wide range of technologies, including medical and surgical devices, robotics, automotive and aerospace systems, and heavy machinery.

Alan previously served as a patent examiner, providing him with a deep understanding of the patent process and the ability to successfully navigate cases through the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Virginia, Alan received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and his B.S. from Virginia Tech.
