Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Melissa M. Martin has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as an associate in the Matrimonial & Family Law group. Melissa joins Blank Rome from Jaffe Family Law Group.
Melissa concentrates her practice on all aspects of matrimonial and family law. She provides comprehensive support throughout her clients’ dissolution proceedings, offering skillful and thoughtful guidance every step of the way. Melissa has represented clients through both settlement and litigation, appearing in court on behalf of clients when necessary.
Melissa has experience in matters related to the division of high-net-worth estates, child custody disputes, child support and spousal support, domestic violence restraining orders, complex prenuptial agreements, and various other family law matters. She has also served as a volunteer for the Los Angeles County Bar Association Domestic Violence Legal Services Project and a Los Angeles family law non-profit.
Admitted to practice in California, Melissa received her J.D. from Southwestern Law School and her B.S. from the University of San Francisco. During law school, Melissa served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge Amy Pellman, the former Supervising Judge, Family Law Division, at the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, and as a law clerk at the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.
