Blank Rome Welcomes New Of Counsel in Pittsburgh

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Frances O’Connor has joined the Firm as Of Counsel in the Firm’s Corporate, M&A, and Securities group. She is based in the Firm’s Pittsburgh office.

Ms. O’Connor joins Blank Rome as a seasoned corporate practitioner who has previously served as counsel for leading firms as well as for Buchanan Ingersoll PC. She concentrates her corporate practice in various business areas, including business acquisitions and dispositions; equity financing and municipal bond financing; new business start-ups; general corporate governance matters; employment agreements; shareholder relations, executive severance arrangements, and securities compliance; and Hart-Scott-Rodino pre-merger notification filings. Her representative clients include large public companies (both U.S. and foreign), mid-sized privately held companies, start-up businesses, and family-owned businesses, as well as individual business executives, physicians, and sole proprietors.

Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, Ms. O’Connor received her J.D., cum laude and Order of the Coif, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and served as an assistant editor and notes editor for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. She earned her B.A. in American Studies from Georgetown University. Ms. O’Connor is a current member of the board of directors for both Cepstral LLC and Community Kitchen Pittsburgh, and a previous member of the board of trustees for Shady Side Academy.
