Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Richard J. Gauthier has joined the firm’s Philadelphia office as an associate in the Corporate, M&A, and Securities practice group, which recently welcomed partner Nicole Islinger in Washington, D.C. Richard joins Blank Rome from Ropes & Gray LLP.
Richard advises private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and strategic buyers and sellers on complex domestic and cross-border transactions, with a focus on middle-market private equity M&A, leveraged buyouts, divestitures, and strategic acquisitions. He guides clients through every phase of deal execution—from bid strategy and diligence to negotiation and closing—and drafts and negotiates key transaction documents, including purchase agreements, disclosure schedules, and equity and organizational agreements.
Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New York, Richard received his J.D. from New England School of Law, his LL.M., cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law, and his B.S. from Florida State University. While in law school, Richard served on the staff of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal, and is currently involved in Special Olympics as a volunteer and unified partner.
