Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Amica J. Nesbitt has joined the firm’s Chicago office as an associate in the Business Litigation group. Amica joins the firm from Reed Smith LLP, reuniting with partners Rachael G. Pontikes, Emily L. Hussey, and Shannon E. McClure, who joined Blank Rome in February, and associates Garrison B. Ambrose, Susan J. Dewey, and Kelly J. Kearney, who joined the firm in March.
Amica focuses her practice on representing life sciences clients—with a particular emphasis on compounding pharmacies—in regulatory, enforcement, and litigation matters. Amica helps guide clients through government investigations, inspections and audits, Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) Form 483s, and FDA Warning Letters. This work often involves interfacing with regulatory bodies, including in the FDA, Drug Enforcement Administration, and state boards of pharmacy.
Admitted to practice in Illinois, Amica received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, and her B.S. from Purdue University. She is an active member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Illinois Defense Counsel. For the past five years, Amica has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers.
