Blank Rome Welcomes Intellectual Property & Technology Associate in Houston

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Divya L. Kannegenti has joined the firm’s Intellectual Property & Technology group as an associate in the Houston office, which also welcomed Mexican Counsel Ana Cecilia Ibarra-van Oostenrijk and Director of Diversity and Inclusion Krystal Studavent Ramsey earlier this year.

Divya joins Blank Rome from a Houston-based boutique law firm focused on patent, trademark, and copyright law. Divya concentrates her practice on intellectual property law, and her experience includes domestic and international intellectual property counseling and clearance; trademark portfolio management; prosecution of trademark and service mark applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office; and patent and trade secret litigation.

Admitted to practice in Texas, Divya earned her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, B.S. in Microbiology & Immunology from the University of Miami, and M.P.H. in Management, Policy & Community Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center. 

Active in the legal community, Divya serves on the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion and Lawyers for Literacy Committees of the Houston Bar Association. She is also a member of The Honorable Nancy F. Atlas Intellectual Property Inn of Court, American Intellectual Property Law Association, Asian American Bar Association of Houston, and Houston Intellectual Property Law Association.
