Blank Rome Welcomes Insurance Recovery Associate in Los Angeles

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Anna K. Milunas has joined the Firm’s Los Angeles office as an associate in the Insurance Recovery group, which welcomed partner Natasha Romagnoli and associate João P. Santa-Rita to the New York office last month. Anna, Natasha, and João all join Blank Rome from McKool Smith.

The move further bolsters the group’s national presence, following the recent addition of a leading insurance recovery team in the Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., offices, as well as reunites Anna with her former colleagues, Linda Kornfeld, David Thomas, and Julia Holt, who notably joined Blank Rome’s Los Angeles office from Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP in 2017.

Anna focuses her practice on insurance recovery litigation where she assists corporate policyholders in disputes with their insurance companies, secures revenue from insurance policies for her clients, and defends clients against antitrust claims and other commercial litigation matters. She also has experience in all aspects of federal and state civil litigation, from inception to trial. Upon graduating law school, Anna was awarded a fellowship from the American Board of Trial Advocates, which is given to a select group of promising trial lawyers in Los Angeles.

Prior to practicing law, Anna worked as a paralegal in the Investment Funds Practice Group for a large international law firm serving clients in multibillion-dollar private equity fund formation and regulatory compliance. She also served as a legal researcher for the Under Secretary of State for Constitutional Affairs within the Parliament of the United Kingdom, House of Commons, and as an intern for various elected members of the U.S. House and Senate.

Anna is admitted to practice in California as well as the Eastern, Southern, Northern, and Central Districts of California. She earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School and her B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude, from George Washington University.
