Blank Rome Named One of the “50 Best Law Firms for Women” by Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers
Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers have named the Firm one of the 2015 Best Law Firms for Women in recognition of its family-friendly policies and career and business development initiatives that help to retain women attorneys and advance them into leadership positions.
“Promoting diversity and inclusion is at the very foundation of our Firm’s culture and history, and we are thrilled to be recognized as a top law firm for women,” said Alan J. Hoffman, Blank Rome Chairman and Managing Partner. “We are proud to offer all of our attorneys a wide variety of programs, training, mentoring opportunities, and alternative work arrangements that support professional and personal development, while fostering the next generation of leaders at our Firm.”
“Through our Women’s Forum, we provide our women attorneys with unique programs that support and promote career advancement, business development, leadership development, and overall strategies to succeed—both inside and outside of the Firm,” said Susan L. Bickley, Partner and Chair of Blank Rome’s Women’s Forum. “Through these initiatives and with the committed support from the entire Firm, we are fortunate to have a strong network of outstanding women attorneys, many of whom are leading Blank Rome in a number of capacities.”
In addition to internal development and advancement resources for women attorneys, Blank Rome is also active in recruiting top talent. In 2014, the Firm joined the OnRamp Fellowship, an innovative first-of-its-kind program that aims to replenish the talent pipeline with diverse, high-performing women lawyers who have the potential and the desire to advance into leadership roles after returning to the legal industry from an extended hiatus. The Firm welcomed Kathy Herman as its first Fellow through the program earlier this year.
Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers co-founded the 50 Best Law Firms for Women initiative in 2007 to celebrate the law firms that are most successful in retaining and promoting women lawyers. The goal is also to give law firms the information and benchmarking tools they need to improve the status of women in their firms in the future.
