Blank Rome Attorneys Join Leadership Council on Legal Diversity 2019 Fellows and Pathfinder Programs

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that the Firm has nominated and the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (“LCLD”) has selected Partner Diana M. Eng to join the 2019 LCLD Fellows Program, and Associates Mitesh Patel and Negar M. Kordestani to join the 2019 LCLD Pathfinder Program.

The LCLD Fellows Program was created to identify, train, and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession through a learning program that includes in-person conferences, training in the fine points of legal practice, and extensive contact with top leadership in law. The LCLD Pathfinder Program was designed to provide diverse, high-potential, early career attorneys with practical tools for developing and leveraging professional networks, leadership skills, and career development strategies. Diana Eng represents mortgage loan servicers and lenders in all aspects of litigation, including appeals and bankruptcy matters, across multiple jurisdictions involving disputes under TILA, RESPA, FCRA, ECOA, and FDCPA, as well as a variety of common law claims. She has more than 15 years of experience in a variety of commercial litigation matters, including antitrust, bankruptcy, class actions, contractual disputes, employment, and intellectual property and media. Diana is a member of the Firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and serves as co-chair of our BR United affinity group. She is also a member of the New York City Bar Association and serves on its Women in the Legal Profession Committee.

Mitesh Patel advises clients on a wide spectrum of real estate transactions, including nationwide acquisitions, dispositions and financings of office, and industrial and multi-family residential properties. He also has worked with landlords, tenants, and subtenants to lease and sublease real estate assets. Mitesh maintains an active pro bono practice representing charitable organizations in a variety of real estate transactions in New York and New Jersey. He is an active member of the South Asian Bar Associations of New York and New Jersey.

Negar Kordestani concentrates her practice in complex commercial litigation and white collar defense matters. She counsels clients on a wide range of business issues with respect to breach of contract, fraud, and business torts, as well as represents corporations and individuals in criminal enforcement actions and related internal investigations. Negar is a member of the Women's White Collar Defense Association and serves on the Young Lawyers Division Executive Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association.
