The American Law Journal Wins Emmy®, Honored with Four Nominations in the MidAtlantic Region
The American Law Journal brought home Emmy® statuettes from the awards ceremony of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences MidAtlantic Region Saturday in the category Interview/Discussion Program/Special. The television program was also nominated in three additional categories.
Executive Producer and Host Christopher Naughton, Producer Valerie Jones and Director of Production Andrew Schaeffer won for the program “Sexual Orientation, LGBT & The Workplace: ‘ENDA’ of Discrimination?”
Philadelphia-area attorneys appearing on the winning program included Anthony Haller of Blank Rome and Angela Giampolo of The Giampolo Law Group.
The 33rd Annual Mid-Atlantic Emmy® Awards were presented Saturday, September 19, 2015, in front of a sold out crowd at the Philadelphia Hilton on City Avenue in Philadelphia.
Other categories, programs and nominees for The American Law Journal included:
- On-Camera Talent - Program Host/Moderator: Naughton, an attorney and former New Jersey prosecutor and corporate in-house counsel.
- Politics/Government - News Single Story or Series: “Judges Behaving Badly: The Cost of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Scandal.” Nominees were Naughton, Jones, Schaeffer, and program Feature Reporter Gina Passarella.
- Interview/Discussion Series: “High Tech: Raising Kids with Today’s Thorny Custody Issues.” Nominees included Naughton, Jones, Schaeffer and Passarella.
