Blank Rome partner Allison N. Powers served as a speaker at the State of Illinois Executive Ethics Commission’s annual Half Day Ethics Conference, held March 11, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois.
Allison Powers, one of nine Commissioners of the State of Illinois Executive Ethics Commission, spoke about the new and expanded the Illinois Human Rights Act (“IHRA”) following its amendment by The Civil Rights Safeguard Act. The amendment is designed to safeguard civil rights protections for Illinoisans where discrimination laws apply.
