<a href="https://www.blankrome.com/" id="https://www.blankrome.com/">Blank Rome LLP</a>&nbsp;is pleased to announce that partner<a href="/people/regina-stango-kelbon/" id="19125">&nbsp;Regina Stango Kelbon</a>, who serves as co-chair of the firm’s Philadelphia office, has been named the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.catholiccharitiesappeal.org/getting-involved/projectmagis">2023 Magis Award</a>&nbsp;recipient by Project Magis in association with The Catholic Charities Appeal for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

The Magis Award is given to an individual in the Philadelphia business community who, regardless of creed, has “demonstrated respect, dignity, kindness, and humility toward others in the performance of their duties and in their profession.” The recipients of this award are “committed to service rooted in solidarity and justice, increasing the common good by doing more for others and creating a better society and life for those around them.”

Project Magis is a networking group of legal and financial services professionals dedicated to helping others in the local community by supporting the Catholic Charities Appeal of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The group assists individuals in need by addressing issues such as hunger, homelessness, addiction, and more through fundraising events.

Regina will be honored with the Magis Award at the Project Magis Fall 2023 Reception on October 16, 2023, which will benefit the developmental programs offered through Catholic Social Services.

About Regina Stango Kelbon

Regina is the co-chair of Blank Rome’s Philadelphia office and serves on the firm’s executive committee. She represents creditors’ committees, debtors, institutional lenders, lender groups, creditors, executory contract parties, equipment lessors, plan of reorganization proponents, and asset purchasers in areas including Chapter 11 reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings/assignments for the benefit of creditors/receiverships, debtor-in-possession financing, inter-creditor relationships, and lender liability issues.&nbsp;Chambers USA&nbsp;ranks Regina as a leader in bankruptcy and restructuring law in Delaware and Pennsylvania. Based upon exceptional recommendations in her field,&nbsp;Chambers&nbsp;recognized Regina as a “Star Individual” for Bankruptcy/Restructuring - Philadelphia &amp; Surrounds in 2021 and 2022.

Regina is a fellow in the prestigious American College of Bankruptcy where she serves as the national chair of the education committee for all circuits. Regina also serves as a mediator for the Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Additionally, she frequently lectures and writes on insolvency and restructuring issues for the American Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.

Outside of the legal industry, Regina is a current member of the Strategic Planning Committee of Catholic Social Services and prior board member. Regina organizes and serves Christmas and other holiday dinners/parties at Mercy Hospice, a homeless shelter for the city’s women and children.&nbsp;
