The Global Class Actions and Mass Torts Conference is an international event that focuses on the concept of collective redress, which refers to legal mechanisms that allow a large group of individuals who have suffered similar harm or injury to pursue their claims together as a single entity.

Deborah’s session, “Redress Schemes and Settlement Programs,” will take place on Thursday, April 23.

This panel will explore key aspects of designing and implementing redress schemes, including advertising the scheme, the role of the administrator, managing the resolution of claims, distribution plans, and the prevention of false claims, offering practical insight into large-scale settlement frameworks. The discussion will also address recent developments in collective redress, including the UK motor finance redress scheme confirmed by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority, one of the most significant industry-wide compensation programs to date, expected to impact millions of consumers and reshape approaches to large-scale claims resolution.
