Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that <a href="/people/matthew-j-treiber/" id="18898">Matthew J. Treiber</a> was presented with the firm’s annual Pro Bono Rising Star Award, which recognizes an associate whose dedication to pro bono has had a tremendous impact on pro bono clients and the firm.

Since joining the firm, Matthew, an Insurance Recovery associate in New York, has demonstrated a strong and consistent commitment to pro bono service.&nbsp; He successfully handled multiple uncontested divorces in partnership with Access Justice Brooklyn, represented a stepfather in a meaningful adoption case, and managed a complex contested divorce involving custody and support issues through Her Justice.

Matthew also contributed to pardon applications efforts through Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity, volunteered with the firm’s Election Protection initiative, and regularly assists with legal name and gender marker changes in collaboration with Bet Tzedek, Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund, and Advocates for Trans Equality.&nbsp;

In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Matthew was honored with the 2023 Blank Rome Pro Bono Hero Award and received the 2024 Christopher Slattery Young Professional Award from Access Justice Brooklyn.&nbsp;
