Blank Rome is pleased to announce that partner Massimo F. D'Angelo, who serves as co-chair of the <a href="/services-and-industries/real-estate/" id="18510">Real Estate</a> industry team, has been appointed North American Regional Forum Liaison Officer of the International Bar Association’s (“IBA”) <a href="https://www.ibanet.org/unit/Real+Estate+Section/committee/Real+Estate+Section/3101">Real Estate Section</a> for a two-year term, effective January 1, 2025.

The IBA’s Legal Practice Division committees, including the Real Estate Section, provide invaluable services to members through conferences, webinars, projects, and publications. The Real Estate Section offers a distinctive and invaluable platform for lawyers practicing real estate law from different countries and legal backgrounds to discuss practical and legal matters, share perspectives, and network during conferences.

As an officer, Massimo will plan international real estate conferences, coordinate with subcommittee members on various real estate topics to present at conferences, and promote real estate law globally, among other responsibilities and duties. He will also continue to serve as an IBA speaker. In 2024, Massimo spoke at the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.blankrome.com/events/aspects-art-cross-examination-and-its-relevance-modern-dispute-resolution">IBA India Litigation and ADR Symposium 2024</a>, the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.blankrome.com/events/12-blank-rome-attorneys-attend-iba-2024-annual-conference">IBA 2024 Annual Conference</a>, and the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.blankrome.com/events/trends-and-hot-topics-real-estate">14th Annual IBA Real Estate Investments Conference</a>.

At Blank Rome, Massimo represents high-end fashion brands, media conglomerates, multinational corporations, owners, developers, condominiums and cooperative boards, politicians, and celebrities on complex real estate disputes, civil cases, securities litigation, and white collar criminal matters. He also counsels his clients on general corporate governance, labor and employment issues, transactional matters, and lobbying efforts. Massimo is a trial attorney with extensive experience in high-stakes litigation in state and federal courts throughout the country, as well as internationally. He has argued numerous appeals.
