For the second consecutive year, Blank Rome partner&nbsp;<a href="https://www.blankrome.com/people/james-r-murray">James R. Murray</a>, who serves as co-chair of the firm's&nbsp;<a href="https://www.blankrome.com/services/insurance-recovery">Insurance Recovery</a>&nbsp;practice group,&nbsp;has been named the exclusive&nbsp;winner of the Lexology Client Choice Award for Insurance &amp; Reinsurance USA – Washington, D.C., and is one of only two recipients awarded this prestigious designation in the Insurance &amp; Reinsurance category nationwide.

The Lexology Client Choice Awards recognizes attorneys from around the world that “stand apart for the excellent client care they provide and the quality of their service.” Nominated strictly by corporate counsel, the award winners from this year hail from across 86 jurisdictions worldwide and were chosen from a pool of more than 2,500 individual client assessments. The criteria for this recognition focus on an ability to add “real value to clients’ business above and beyond the other players in the market.”

At Blank Rome, Jim leads our firm's policyholder-only insurance recovery practice. He is the only policyholder trial lawyer in the United States who is a fellow of both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American College of Coverage Counsel. Jim has litigated cases in 24 states for top-tier corporate clients and has represented individuals and an array of religious institutions and government entities. He has assisted clients in securing well over one billion dollars on matters involving almost every line of insurance.

Along with receiving this exclusive honor two years in a row, Jim has been recognized in leading legal surveys and publications such as&nbsp;Chambers USA,&nbsp;Best Lawyers in America,&nbsp;National Trial Lawyers,&nbsp;The Legal 500 United States,&nbsp;Benchmark Litigation,&nbsp;Who’s Who Legal,&nbsp;The National Law Journal,&nbsp;BTI Consulting Group “Client Service All-Stars,” and&nbsp;Law360&nbsp;for over 20 years.&nbsp;He was also selected as a member of the Nation’s Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel in 2022.

Using surveys from in-house counsel and editorial interviews and research, Lexology Client Choice Award candidates were evaluated based on: quality of advice, commercial awareness, industry knowledge, strategic thinking, billing transparency, tailored fee structures, value for money, responsiveness, effective communication, clarity of documentation, sharing of expertise, appropriate staffing, project management, use of technology, loyalty, and ethics.&nbsp;
