Palmer</a>, Blank Rome’s Chair and Managing Partner, has been recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal as a <a href="https://www.bizjournals.com/philadelphia/news/2023/10/10/most-admired-ceos-group-one-announced.html">2023 Most Admired CEO honoree.</a>

The honorees are leaders who have "earned respect from within and outside their companies and are leaving a mark on Greater Philadelphia and beyond." Receiving over 100 nominations from the public, the&nbsp;Philadelphia Business Journal’s&nbsp;editorial board reviewed each nominee, who must hold the top executive position within their company, and selected 27 leaders to honor.

Grant commented, "This recognition would not be possible without the support and contributions of my incredibly talented Blank Rome colleagues—all of whom are dedicated to working collaboratively to achieve great client results, support our communities, and cultivate our firm’s inclusive and high-performing culture."&nbsp;

The honorees were recognized at an event in Philadelphia on December 6, 2023, and featured in a special print edition of the paper on December 8, 2023.

Grant S. Palmer Firm-wide Chair and Managing Partner, Blank Rome

Despite the firm’s continuing growth, Grant Palmer is focused on ensuring Blank Rome maintains its tight-knit culture. Now nearly 700 lawyers strong, the Philadelphia-based AmLaw 100 firm has grown considerably under Palmer’s leadership. Since being named firm-wide managing partner in 2019–he also became chair in January–Blank Rome has added nearly 100 lateral partners and opened three new offices, bringing its total to 15.&nbsp;As of this year, Blank Rome is one of the 100 largest firms in the U.S. and ranks as the 101st largest firm globally. Palmer’s leadership builds on decades at Blank Rome. He began at the firm in 1990 as an associate and became a partner eight years later. Over the ensuing years, he held a number of leadership roles, including firm-wide chair of its litigation department and its commercial litigation practice group leader. He also founded and chaired the firm’s pro bono committee and later oversaw the implementation of pro bono requirements. Ever forward-thinking, Palmer has sought to advance diversity, equity and inclusion at Blank Rome and hired a dedicated director, in addition to a chief innovation and value officer to further drive new ideas.
