Blank Rome pro bono attorney Krystal Kane was recently featured in the Philadelphia Business Journal's 2025 Business of Pride series, which profiles individuals and companies advancing and supporting the region's LGBTQ+ community.

She is also one of the organizers of the Philadelphia Name Change Project. Her personal pro bono practice focuses on legal name changes for gender-diverse community members. She's handled more than 125 over the past five years and trains other attorneys and law students on the process.
"In Pennsylvania, any person can change their name for any non-fraudulent reason," she said. "But for a lot of our clients, the idea of going to court is stressful."
