Blank Rome with Simon’s Heart
Approximately 2,000 children die each year in the U.S. from sudden cardiac arrest, according to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Conshohocken nonprofit Simon’s Heart provides free screenings to help local children avoid a similar fate. Since its founding in 2005, the organization has screened more than 25,000 young people. For much of that time, Simon’s Heart has had the support of Philadelphia law fi rm Blank Rome, which has not only provided over $150,000 to the organization but also pro bono legal services, allowing it to put more funds toward its mission. Blank Rome has helped the nonprofit navigate complex health care, data, and educational processes to ensure its compliance.
