Blank Rome is pleased to announce that the firm has been recognized by the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia for its role in the restoration of 1401 E. Susquehanna Avenue as part of the&nbsp;<a href="https://preservationalliance.com/preservation-achievement-awards/">2026 Preservation Achievement Awards</a>.

Hotel Anna &amp; Bel completed the restoration of the property, originally constructed in 1769, with a commitment to preserving its historic character, architectural integrity, and original charm. The Blank Rome team, led by <a href="/people/adam-e-laver/" id="19308">Adam E. Laver</a>, provided zoning and land use counsel to Hotel Anna &amp; Bel throughout the restoration process. Project partners included Powers &amp; Company, Ambit Architecture, B‑March Architects, Form Function Hospitality, Architectural Window Corporation, GO‑PR, and Foxglove Communications.

The project team has received a Grand Jury Award, the Preservation Alliance’s highest distinction, recognizing exceptional achievement in preserving and protecting historic resources within the built environment. Grand Jury Awards honor excellence in historic restoration, rehabilitation, and adaptive reuse; sensitive new construction or additions associated with historic properties; and the documentation of significant historic resources. Award recipients are selected by a distinguished jury of preservation professionals.

Blank Rome and the full project team will be formally recognized at the Preservation Achievement Awards ceremony on June 3, 2026, in Philadelphia.
