Blank Rome partner Jacqueline Combs recently appeared on PIX11 News’ New York City Living to discuss why January is often known as “National Divorce Month.”
Jackie explained, “January is considered 'Divorce Month' because there is typically an increase in divorce filings and/or divorce consultations during the month. That extends through March which is referred to as divorce season.”

She added, “January does not cause divorce, but the refresh and the introspection of resolutions definitely assist people in making changes in their lives. The holiday pressures, unmet expectations, and all of these things, may not cause it, but they definitely reveal the issues.”
