About the Program

The 2026 Class Actions National Institute will feature trial tips, techniques, and best practices from leading in-house counsel, defense counsel, and plaintiffs’ attorneys in the field. Speakers will discuss current class action decisions, recent Supreme Court decisions, and how to best help clients.

Daniel’s session, “All Bets Are Off: Artificial Intelligence and the New Class Action Frontier,” will take place on Thursday, October 29, from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m.

About the Session

From generative models trained on copyrighted works to products that expose companies to statutory damages on a per-use basis, artificial intelligence (“AI”) is creating an entirely new breed of class action. Panelists will tackle the unique challenges AI cases pose for class certification and the strategic calculus for both plaintiffs and defendants operating in uncharted territory. Whether prosecuting these claims, defending against them, or advising clients on how to stay out of the crosshairs, this session will provide practical frameworks for navigating AI-driven litigation while the rules are still being written.
