Biography

CO-CHAIR, GENERAL LITIGATION PRACTICE GROUP

Andy concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts nationwide and before arbitration panels. He represents public and private companies, as well as individuals, in disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, director and officer liability, business torts, unfair competition, theft of trade secrets, intellectual property, and real estate. Andy also represents clients in class actions throughout the country, including class actions alleging violations of the federal securities laws. Andy routinely represents companies and directors and officers in shareholder derivative litigation and merger related litigation. Andy’s practice is focused on industries such as software, technology, solar, licensing, brand management, manufacturing, and retail.

In addition to representing clients in litigation, Andy routinely advises clients on litigation avoidance strategies.

Outside the Firm

Andy is the proud father of three and enjoys spending time outside the office with his wife, Shirley, and their kids. Among other things, Andy devotes his time as a volunteer coach with Ardsley Little League.

  • Represented the administrator of an estate in a dissolution of a limited liability company.
  • Represented a dental manufacturer in trade secrets dispute. 
  • Represented shareholder of a privately held company in breach of fiduciary duty claim.
