Michael Sanders Receives ABA "Outstanding Attorney Award" for Service to Nonprofit Organizations
Blank Rome is pleased to announce that Michael I. Sanders is the recipient of the 2014 "Outstanding Attorney Award," presented by the Nonprofit Organizations Committee of the American Bar Association, Business Law Section.
Mr. Sanders is recognized for his distinguished service as outside counsel to nonprofit organizations. He will receive the award at the Business Law Section Annual Meeting taking place September 11-13, 2014.
Mr. Sanders is the lead partner of the Washington office's tax group. He has a large practice in the area of exempt organizations involving healthcare and low-income housing, associations and joint ventures between for-profits and nonprofits, as well as structuring New Markets Tax Credit transactions. He focuses his practice in the area of taxation, offering particular knowledge in matters affecting partnerships, limited liability companies, S-corporations, real estate, and tax controversy.
