Established in 2022, the INTA Rising Star recognition honors emerging leaders who demonstrate exceptional commitment to the intellectual property (‘IP”) profession and to INTA. Each year, individuals are nominated by committee chairs, vice chairs, and staff liaisons for their substantive IP work and dynamic contributions—whether as speakers, authors, project team members, or committee participants.
At Blank Rome, Matt serves as lead intellectual property counsel to multinational corporations, consumer product leaders, and digital-first brands. He focuses on maximizing the commercial value of intangible assets including trademarks, copyrights, and domain name registrations through aggressive enforcement, sophisticated portfolio architecture, and high-stakes litigation. As a former Adjunct Professor of Trademark Law at Villanova University, Matt brings deep doctrinal authority to his practice, advising general counsel and c-suite executives on "bet-the-brand" disputes before federal courts, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board ("TTAB"), and Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy ("UDRP") panels.
