Mary Craig Calkins Recognized Among ABA Section of Litigation’s 100 Women Who Inspire Us
Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Mary Craig Calkins, a partner in the Firm’s Insurance Recovery group, was named one of the American Bar Association (“ABA”) Section of Litigation’s 100 Women Who Inspire Us, which celebrates women leaders for their success in the courtroom, the judiciary, and the profession.
Mary was recognized at the recent Women in Litigation Joint CLE Conference, which was part of the ABA Section of Litigation’s year-long celebration of the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment guaranteeing women’s constitutional right to vote. The 100 Women Who Inspire Us presentation noted: “Mary is not only a talented attorney, but an important role model for lawyers. She has spent over 30 years handling complex, high-value insurance matters for policyholders…”

Mary is an active leader in numerous professional and community organizations and associations, most notably the ABA Section of Litigation, where she is now on Council, the Section’s governing board. She was a managing director during the 2018-2019 bar year, served as national chair of the Women of the Section of Litigation Annual Conference in 2014 and 2015, and was co-chair of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee, among many other positions.
