Mary Craig Calkins Named “Woman of Business” by Comerica Bank Women’s Business Awards Program
Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that partner Mary Craig Calkins was recognized as a “Woman of Business” by the Comerica Bank Women’s Business Awards Program, presented in conjunction with the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. The “Woman of Business” designation recognizes top women in leadership in Southern California and is a tribute to their professional and community contributions.
Recognizing Mary, Comerica Bank and the Lakers write: “Mary is a distinguished attorney and a champion of women’s advancement. Mary oversees multi-faceted insurance activities for major film, television, and broadcasting companies, including highly publicized claims that spawned the #metoo movement.” Mary’s recent recognitions include being listed in Best Lawyers in America ®, Chambers USA, and the American Lawyer. Outside of the firm, Mary is a member of numerous professional and community organizations and associations, notably including the American Bar Association Litigation Section where she currently serves as national Revenue Officer, the American College of Coverage Counsel where she is a past President, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
She has more than 30 years of experience handling and litigating all aspects of insurance recovery for policyholders. Mary joins fellow Blank Rome Los Angeles partners Kristina Royce, Linda Kornfeld, Cheryl S. Chang, Caroline P. Donelan, Stacy D. Phillips, and Ana Tagvoryan in being honored by this notable award.
