Krystal Studavent Ramsey Named 2022 Champion of Diversity by Diversity Global
Blank Rome LLP is pleased to share that Krystal Studavent Ramsey, who serves as the firm’s Director of Diversity and Inclusion, has been named a 2022 Top 15 Champion of Diversity out of 137 nominees by Diversity Global, which recognizes leaders in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (“DEI”) space who actively pursue a more equitable and inclusive workplace and society.
Nominated by organizational leaders and peers, the 15 Champions of Diversity are “exceptional leaders who have moved into strategic roles to make D&I sustainable as a core principle for thought and actions” and strive for D&I to be “integrated into operations, talent systems, and decision-making.”
“I am honored that Diversity Global has recognized my commitment to creating, leading, and implementing Blank Rome’s strategic DEI plans, initiatives, programs, and introducing new growth opportunities as we work to make sustainable change and positive impact throughout the firm, the communities we serve, and the legal industry,” said Krystal Studavent Ramsey.
According to Diversity Global, nominees must have “demonstrated excellence in promoting a more diverse workforce at all organizational levels, encouraged diverse perspectives, driven best practices in diversity and inclusion, demonstrated leadership qualities consistent with a successful inclusion, sustainability, or HR program, and have a global perspective on diversity” in order to be considered for the recognition.
The Champions of Diversity work in a wide range of industries, representing the many workplaces and communities striving to broaden inclusivity. The 15 Champions serve as leaders for the global community and work with the intention of making lasting changes.

Krystal Studavent Ramsey, Esq. is the Director of Diversity & Inclusion at Blank Rome LLP. After conducting a listening tour, she worked to strengthen Affinity Groups by collaborating with group leaders to develop strategic business goals and tactics in alignment with organizational business strategies and goals. Krystal led the launch of the Affinity Groups BR Black, BR Asian, and BR Latin. She has been instrumental in collaborating with leaders to shape an annual DEI strategy and meeting goals in the enterprise-wide strategic plan as proven via metrics. As a result of her efforts, Blank Rome has moved up 24 spots in American Lawyer’s diversity ranking from 2021 to 2022 and has been recognized as a 2022 Best Law Firm for Women by Seramount.
Krystal works with the D&I Committee to develop a strategic plan for DEI, and with the D&I Working Groups that serve as change management teams. Her D&I Department has expanded the legal pipeline program, launching new programs such as the mentorship program BR Belonging, and introducing programming to develop DEI skills and competencies in firm leadership, to name but a few accomplishments.
