Blank Rome Pro Bono Attorney Krystal Kane has been selected as the recipient of the 2020 Craig M. Perry Service Award from the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division. She was presented with the award at the Young Lawyers Division annual holiday party and award ceremony, which was held virtually this year on December 3, 2020.

The Craig M. Perry Service Award is presented annually to a young lawyer—40 years old or younger or within the first three years of practice—who has devoted substantial time and energy to community-oriented activities, including, but not limited to, pro bono and charity work. The award is named in honor of Craig M. Perry, a member of the Young Lawyers Division Executive Committee who suffered an untimely death and was very involved in community service and active in student related and other Young Lawyers Division programs.

As Blank Rome’s Pro Bono Attorney, Krystal helps lead Firm-wide pro bono initiatives and clinics alongside Partner and Pro Bono Committee Chair Barry Abrams and Partner and Director of Pro Bono Services Kathy E. Ochroch. For more than seven years, Krystal has played an instrumental role in the Firm’s pro bono program, providing attorneys with valuable assistance in identifying pro bono opportunities that will be meaningful to them as well as managing appropriate trainings and resources to support their endeavors.

“I am extremely proud of Krystal and pleased to know that her incredible dedication to the community is being recognized by the Philadelphia Bar Association through this distinguished award,” said Kathy. “Krystal embodies our Firm’s core values of respect for the individual, the community, and the law, and this well-deserved honor is a fitting tribute to Krystal’s leadership in pro bono and community service efforts.”

In addition to her pro bono leadership and Philadelphia Bar Association involvement, Krystal is a longtime supporter of the Kisses for Kyle Foundation, which assists families in the Delaware Valley region who are battling childhood cancer, and also serves as the philanthropy director for the Sons of Ben, the independent supporters’ club for the Philadelphia Union Major League Soccer team.
