Jeanne M. Grasso Named Among "Top 100 Women in Shipping for 2019" by All About Shipping
Blank Rome LLP Partner Jeanne M. Grasso, who serves as co-chair of the Firm’s Maritime and International Trade group, has been named among All About Shipping’s Top 100 Women in Shipping for 2019, notably ranking in the top 50.
2019 was a significant year for women in the shipping industry, as represented by the International Maritime Organization’s theme for World Maritime Day 2019: “Empowering Women in the Maritime Community.” To determine the top 100 honorees, All About Shipping collected data and notes on the leading women in the industry who have “offered and influenced our shipping world and the wider female community to all intents and purposes.”
At Blank Rome, Jeanne focuses her practice on maritime, international, and environmental law for clients worldwide. She counsels owners and operators of vessels, charterers, cargo owners, and facilities, including manufacturing facilities, both marine-side and inland. She writes and lectures extensively on criminal enforcement of environmental laws and U.S. Coast Guard regulatory matters, and also conducts training sessions and helps clients establish compliance programs in an effort to avoid enforcement actions.
