David Kistler Named a “New Leader of the Bar” by New Jersey Law Journal
David Kistler has been selected by the New Jersey Law Journal as one of its New Leaders of the Bar 2013. This honor recognizes attorneys who have “developed practice niches, amassed strong books of business, demonstrated leadership qualities, shown expertise in litigation or transactional work and committed themselves to pro bono, charitable and professional volunteer work.”
At Blank Rome, Mr. Kistler devotes his practice to representing clients in high-stakes corporate and commercial litigation. He is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group and Appellate Litigation Industry Group, co-chairman of the Commercial Litigation Practice Group’s Associate Development/Education Committee and a member of the group’s Pro Bono Committee, as well as the Princeton Office Pro Bono Committee. In addition to his practice, Mr. Kistler has devoted significant amounts of time participating in important community endeavors. For instance, he has spent the past five years serving on the N.J. Supreme Court’s Committee on Character, which reviews bar candidates’ applications and investigates, where necessary, fitness to practice law. In that capacity he has devoted several hundred hours per year conducting hearings and assisting in the decision making process.
