Blank Rome’s Stephen Orlofsky Named New Jersey Law Journal’s Attorney of the Year Finalist

Blank Rome Partner Stephen M. Orlofsky, former U.S. District Judge and Magistrate Judge for the District of New Jersey, has been named an “Attorney of the Year” finalist for the New Jersey Law Journal’s 2019 Professional Excellence Awards, which honor attorneys who have “left an indelible mark on the legal community in New Jersey and beyond through their unwavering dedication to the profession.”

The Attorney of the Year recognition honors an attorney who has made the greatest impact on the profession, and in the law, with an achievement in the past year that goes beyond service to the client. The winner will be announced at the 2019 Professional Excellence Awards event being held on June 12, at the Brooklake Country Club. At Blank Rome, Stephen leads the Firm’s appellate practice and is Chair of the Princeton office, which was recently named The American Lawyer’s Regional Litigation Department of the Year and Law360’s New Jersey Powerhouse. He concentrates his practice in the areas of complex litigation and alternative dispute resolution, counseling clients throughout the United States in federal and state civil and criminal courts, both at the appellate and trial level. In 2018, Stephen received the Camden County Bar Foundation’s Judge John F. Gerry Award in recognition of his humanitarianism and outstanding contributions to the administration of justice in New Jersey. He has been ranked by Chambers USA as a leader in the field of general commercial litigation and has received the highest possible rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
