Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Research Technology Manager Andre Davison, who is based in the Firm’s Houston office, has been named a winner of the Fastcase 50 award, which recognizes top innovators, visionaries, and leaders in law. This year’s Fastcase 50 honorees represent a diverse group of lawyers, legal technologists, law librarians, judges, bar association leaders, legal innovators, and others who are passionate about reforming and automating the law and who have made important contributions to the legal profession.

In his Fastcase 50 profile, Andre is honored for his significant work introducing and maintaining information resources, both purchased and internally developed, at Blank Rome, and applauded for his “superior technical skills” paired with “exceptional interpersonal qualities.” Fastcase notes that the “legal information and wider world are both better off because of those who build, lead, and serve like Andre.” Andre is also highlighted for this notable recognition in the Texas Bar Blog where he is praised as a leading Texas law librarian and legal technologist.

Active in the legal technology industry, Andre was recently elected vice chair and chair-elect of the newly constituted Black Law Librarians Special Interest Section of the American Association of Law Libraries (“AALL”). He also serves as an executive board member of AALL’s Private Law Librarians and Information Professionals Special Interest Section, and was honored in 2019 as the winner of AALL’s third annual innovation tournament for his project on seamless access to secondary sources. In addition, he previously served as president of the Houston Area Law Librarians. Beyond technology, Andre is a leader in diversity and inclusion efforts at Blank Rome and in his community, and was the recipient of the Firm’s Honorable Nathaniel R. Jones Diversity Award in 2018.
