Blank Rome Ranked Second Nationally in The American Lawyer’s 2020 Midlevel Associates Survey
Blank Rome LLP is proud to announce that our Firm was ranked second nationally for midlevel associate satisfaction in The American Lawyer’s 2020 Midlevel Associates Survey, and in the top five regionally for Philadelphia (#1) and New York (#4). Additionally, Blank Rome ranked second nationally for legal technology, notably receiving the highest score in “firm-provided technology.”
The annual survey asked third-, fourth-, and fifth-year associates at Am Law 200 firms to summarize their firm’s qualities, including the interest and satisfaction levels of work; benefits and compensation; relations between associates and partners; training and guidance; management’s openness about firm strategies and partnership chances; their firm’s attitude toward pro bono work; billable hours policy; and the likelihood of the associate being at their firm in two years.
According to The American Lawyer, the 2020 Midlevel Associates Survey found that “the coronavirus pandemic has given law firms an opportunity to demonstrate transparency and accountability from the top down, and Big Law associates feel their firms’ management teams have risen to the occasion.” Blank Rome was notably highlighted for its transparency and Firm culture in The American Lawyer’s article, As They Navigate the Pandemic, Midlevel Associates Say Law Firm Transparency Is Paramount, which featured insights from Ori Portnoy, Blank Rome’s Chief Legal Talent Officer, and Kierstan L.
