Blank Rome Ranked as 2017 “Top Law Firm” for Pro Bono by the Philadelphia Business Journal
Blank Rome was ranked as one of the top ten law firms for pro bono service in the Philadelphia region for 2017 by the Philadelphia Business Journal (“PBJ”), based on the Firm’s donated pro bono hours in 2015. The Firm was previously ranked as a 2016 “Top Law Firm” for pro bono service by PBJ in April 2016.
Law firms were surveyed for PBJ’s list in 2016 during the 2017 list survey period. Firms were invited to complete the pro bono section of the law firms survey by providing their hours donated in 2015. Blank Rome is deeply committed to pro bono service, and through its formal pro bono policy, led by Grant Palmer, Chair of Blank Rome’s Pro Bono Committee, and Kathy Ochroch, Director of Blank Rome’s Pro Bono Services, the Firm requires that each of the Firm’s attorneys and paralegals undertake at least 25 hours of pro bono service every year. As a result of this successful policy, Blank Rome had record-breaking years for pro bono work in 2015 and 2016, with more than 99 percent participation from the Firm’s attorneys.
