Blank Rome Partners Recognized in the 2019 Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America
Blank Rome Partners Alan J. Hoffman, Grant S. Palmer, Linda Kornfeld, and Stacy D. Phillips have been selected to the 2019 Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America, which recognizes the “best of the best” attorneys in all practice areas.
Each year, Lawdragon selects its list of 500 Leading Lawyers in America from a combination of editorial research by Lawdragon staff, submissions from law firms, and an online nomination form that allows visitors to recommend and comment on their favorite attorneys. Now in its 14th year of publication, this year’s guide features a 500 that is 40 percent women—a new record—and 20 percent diverse.
Alan Hoffman serves as chairman and immediate past managing partner of Blank Rome. He also served as the Firm’s Litigation Department head for 12 years. In his practice, Alan handles complex corporate and criminal litigation, and has extensive trial and appellate experience in both the federal and state courts. Alan has particular experience representing both corporations and individuals in commercial disputes, government contract litigation, product liability litigation, civil and criminal environmental matters, securities cases, intellectual property, and banking cases.
Grant Palmer serves as managing partner and CEO of Blank Rome. He is also the immediate past chair of the Firm’s Litigation Department, and chaired Blank Rome’s Pro Bono Committee for 18 years. Grant is a nationally-recognized litigator with significant trial experience in state and federal courts throughout the country. He represents clients in a wide range of areas, including class actions, cybersecurity, corporate and shareholder litigation, employment, restrictive covenants, patent and intellectual property, fraud, unfair trade practices, personal injury, products liability, trade secrets, and many others.
Linda Kornfeld serves as vice chair of the Firm’s Insurance Recovery group. She is one of the nation’s most prominent insurance recovery attorneys, representing corporate policyholders in high-stakes litigation for more than 25 years. Using strategic, creative approaches in her trial and appellate practice, Linda assists her clients in the recovery of hundreds of millions of dollars in insurance assets. She is a strategic adviser to senior executives and in-house counsel on mitigating risk and maximizing insurance recoveries.
Stacy Phillips is one of the country’s most well-known and respected family law practitioners, having guided clients through critical transitions in their lives for more than 30 years. She handles primarily high-net-worth and high-profile divorce cases, with experience in every facet of family law. Stacy is known for her skilled persuasion, adept negotiation, aggressive advocacy, and compassion in representing her clients, whether in litigation, mediation, or collaborative divorce.
