Waves of lawsuits against companies in many consumer-facing industries continue, with new complaints being filed more recently related to the alleged inaccessibility of mobile applications. Lawsuits have targeted many industries, including retailers, luxury goods, hospitality, hotels, banks, and others.
This program and our panel will provide an overview of lawsuits being filed under the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”) and similar state and local statutes against companies operating consumer-facing websites and mobile applications. They will also offer a framework to assess a company’s exposure, and proactive steps to take to mitigate future risk.
