This session will examine the recent U.S. Trade Representative actions targeting Chinese-built and Chinese-operated vessels, which have created significant uncertainty for North American shipping operations. The panel will discuss the timeline from the initial labor union petition to the temporary suspension of fees and explore broader implications for cross-border maritime trade.
