Blank Rome Of Counsel Joan M. Bondareff will be speaking at the US Offshore Wind 2018 Conference & Exhibition, being held Thursday and Friday, June 7 and 8, 2018, in Boston, MA. 

Joan will moderate the panel “North Carolina and Virginia and Offshore Wind Opportunities” on Friday, June 8, from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. During this panel state and project representatives will talk about the economic opportunities that offshore wind projects will bring to their states, such as jobs, manufacturing and infrastructure, and how offshore wind will help achieve state-specific renewable energy goals. In addition, the panel will provide updates about Wind Energy Areas, further development potential, and state support mechanisms to help finance and develop new projects.

Joan will be also be participating in the “Role of Vessels, Barges and Logistics” panel taking place later that day, from 2:00 to 2:35 p.m. This panel will cover:

  • The role of marine contractors
  • An analysis of vessels, barges, and logistical requirements, and installation processes specific to different foundation types
  • The Jones Act and what it means for the different levels of the supply chain
