Time to Reform the Jones Act?
Blank Rome Partner Jonathan Waldron will speak on the "Time to Reform the Jones Act?" panel hosted by Federalist Society’s Regulatory Transparency Project and The Heritage Foundation. The event will be held on February 23, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., at The Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C.
Jonathan will be joined by James Coleman, professor, Dedman School of Law, Southern Methodist University; Rob Quartel, chairman and chief executive officer, NTELX and former member, U.S. Federal Maritime Commission; and Nicolas Loris, fellow in Energy and Environmental Policy (moderator). Together, this expert panel will explain the Jones Act controversy and discuss whether it can be reformed without endangering national security.
